I wish I knew better how to live in the moment, to take advantage of every second I have with people, and not constantly be wishing I was somewhere else. I wish I knew how to live a life without regrets, and I know that isn't possible, I'm human and even if I pretend I don't have regrets, no one can live completely without them. But there has to be some way to live with little regrets and maybe that's in living every moment to the fullest, draining every last breath out of every last day, maybe living without regrets is trying your hardest always, knowing you gave life your all, you didn't slack off, maybe in giving it your best, you could live a life with minimal regrets?
What would I do if I knew I had just a week left to live? I would try a lot of things I've always wanted to try, I'd make up for wasted time with the people in my life, straighten out the way I was living, make things right with everyone around me, so why do I take the risk and live like I've got all the time in the world? Why do I put things off until tomorrow, next year, five years from now, when I'm an adult? Why do I take the risk of not living every moment to it's utmost fullest, the risk that I'll get to the end of my life whether short or long, and look back wishing I'd spent more time with the ones I love, or done this or that, or lived life a little fuller?
A friend once said something like "The thought that at any moment God could end our lives, to me that is breathtaking!" It is, and I don't take that into consideration enough. Don't take foregranted the time you have here on earth, you never know what tomorrow holds, or even what 5 minutes from now holds, nothing is certain... but life after death...?
