Live it up!

I wish I knew better how to live in the moment, to take advantage of every second I have with people, and not constantly be wishing I was somewhere else. I wish I knew how to live a life without regrets, and I know that isn't possible, I'm human and even if I pretend I don't have regrets, no one can live completely without them. But there has to be some way to live with little regrets and maybe that's in living every moment to the fullest, draining every last breath out of every last day, maybe living without regrets is trying your hardest always, knowing you gave life your all, you didn't slack off, maybe in giving it your best, you could live a life with minimal regrets?
What would I do if I knew I had just a week left to live? I would try a lot of things I've always wanted to try, I'd make up for wasted time with the people in my life, straighten out the way I was living, make things right with everyone around me, so why do I take the risk and live like I've got all the time in the world? Why do I put things off until tomorrow, next year, five years from now, when I'm an adult? Why do I take the risk of not living every moment to it's utmost fullest, the risk that I'll get to the end of my life whether short or long, and look back wishing I'd spent more time with the ones I love, or done this or that, or lived life a little fuller?
A friend once said something like "The thought that at any moment God could end our lives, to me that is breathtaking!" It is, and I don't take that into consideration enough. Don't take foregranted the time you have here on earth, you never know what tomorrow holds, or even what 5 minutes from now holds, nothing is certain... but life after death...?

Never Once

This is one of the songs we sang in church this morning and the words just really stuck out to me for some reason, I decided I had to share it. :)

"Every step we are breathing in your grace...you are faithful!"

Lately....

Oh my, haven't posted in like two weeks. Since my last post, we celebrated Mary's birthday, I went bowling for the first time, Aaron and Carrie set up the trellis they built for Rachael, hmm... lots of gardening, hanging out with Aaron and Carrie, visited Hailee Critchfield in the hospital... I was gonna blog about that but didn't finish it... I haven't taken any pictures for blog posts in a while. I probably could use some random ones but I'm not using the computer that works for pictures tonight. I just thought I'd update this blog since it's been awhile. Tomorrow Mimi is coming over and we're going to bake some things to sell at the sidewalk sale in Walker her mom goes to. Kinda an experiment because we both need some extra change... we'll see how this goes, hopefully good! :)
     Just a thought today,
Do you see your cup half full or half empty, they look the same but how you see them makes a big difference.
Something I was thinking about earlier when I was in a bad mood. What do y'all think? Is your cup half full or is it half empty?

The Storm

Just some pictures I took of the storm last night.
I missed it because I was in Blackduck with Aaron and Carrie, they didn't get it nearly as bad there, though the lightning and thunder were pretty awesome! The winds were super strong, maybe 70-90 mph winds... and rain! Biggest storm in a while. There were tornado watches, and the possibility of quarter size hail. There was a curfew in Bemidji, from 11 PM to 6 AM, anyone found driving would be arrested, and a lot of power lines out. This is some of the damage to the woods around our place, thankfully none fell on the house or sheds. Others were a lot less fortunate than us. I was talking to a friend in Laporte and they don't have running water or electricity today.
I wish I would have had my camera after the storm, the lighting was the colors of a peach sunset and then later the sky turned rich red. It was beautiful!

Sleeping Beauty and a Butterfly

Ruthie fell asleep sprawled on the couch last night around ten. I thought it was too cute not to capture.

Sleeping Beauty <3
While I was talking to Emily on the phone quite late last night, this butterfly flew around the living room then landed on a curtain.
