Family Traditions

The other night the family was sitting around the dinning room discussing what needed to be done before the camping trip we're about to take. Mom found a piece of paper and a pen for a grocery list and started jotting things down.
"We need ice cream cones and pistachio pudding to eat at Park Point." someone said. At dad's unsure face they everybody chimed "It's tradition! We always eat pistachio pudding in ice cream cones at Park Point!" dad gave in.
"We need to get Bisquick for Lizzy's dough gobs." mom says. Dad again looks uncertain... "It's tradition ya know!" mom says with a laugh. I love our family 'traditions!' :-)

I'm really looking forwards to this camping trip. I hope the weather's as nice as it's supposed to be! :-) So excited to be on the North Shore! :-)

Love means exposing yourself to the pain of being hurt, deeply hurt by someone you trust.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the number of moments that take our breath away.

We all mess up sometimes, there's no point in kicking yourself over your mistakes, get up, learn from them and move on!

Friends come and go but family is forever! <3

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.

God loves each of us as if there were only one of us. ~St Augustine

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strenght. --Philippians 4:13 NLT

God's promises are like the stars; the darker the night the brighter they shine. ~David Nicholas

Were there no God, we would be in this glorious world with grateful hearts and no one to thank. ~Christina Rossetti

Life is God's novel. Let Him write it. ~Isaac Bashevis Singer

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. --Romans 8:28 KJV

There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, "All right, then, have it your way." ~C.S. Lewis, The Screwtape Letters, 1943

Remember this. When people choose to withdraw far from a fire, the fire continues to give warmth, but they grow cold. When people choose to withdraw far from light, the light continues to be bright in itself but they are in darkness. This is also the case when people withdraw from God. ~Augustine

Mirielle Enriquez

The other day I clicked on a youtube bookmark of Rachael's hoping for a shortcut to youtube... and found a video by Mirielle Enriquez. I thought it was sweet so I looked up some more songs sung by her and figured I'd share a few.
This is the first one I saw.

I think this is one of my favorites. Her expressions are so cute!
