An evening at the Lofgren's...

I know, it's 11:13, I should be in bed right?! But I'm all sugared up and high so I decided to make one more blog entry with some random pictures I took this evening. This post is kind of for a friend who told me she'd be interested in any pictures I took. So enjoy Khaitlin! :)

A cake Sarah made

Sarah with her cake :)
Listening to Lizzy read

'Time to freeze Anna with my ice pack!' *evil grin*

Ruth, Sarah and Me, not the best pic ever
Snack Time! Lizzy's homemade ghraham crackers...

...and Sarah's left over decorators frosting!

John spreading it thick.

Yuck!

It's about 2/3 frosting, 1/3 ghraham cracker

Mary fishing in the cookie jar

'They took them all!!'

Sarah on her puppy cell phone! LOL

After all that frosting they needed a drink!

'1...2...3...drink!' lol
 Treasure hunt for John's toothbrush...

it's obviously not on the bookshelf,

...not behind the bed...

...here it is on Aaron's dresser!...
Nope that's not the right one!

Oh there it is! Under Aaron's desk chair!

'Anna will you put toothpaste on my toothbrush?'

John: 'Ruth stop!'
Ruth: 'I'm just posing for the camera!'

'Am I forgetting anything?'

Lizzy and Sarah chilaxing after a crazy night! :)

Okay, that was a lot of pictures I hope you didn't get too bored! :) I'm tired now, blogging wears a person out! lol not really, I just needed something to wind down with, but I should be off to bed. So goodnight folks!

Musical Chairs :)

Mom's gone, dad's somewhere downstairs, Sarah's making a cake and Lizzy's playing musical chairs with the kids. While doing dishes, the kids were being super hyper and loud so Lizzy decided before we put them to bed we should play musical chairs and wear them out. So that's what we're doing and I get to be the DJ. It's really quite amusing to watch one person plop down on a chair, one flop onto the couch and the third just stare grumpily at the empty chair 'cause he didn't get it! even though it's still empty! Musical chairs is the best! :)

Damare

This afternoon, I was flipping through a WORLD magazine and I came upon a short clip about a 10-year-old Sudanese boy named Damare who had been sold as a slave. Damare was a Christian so one Sunday he snuck off to a church service. He was discovered and brought to a field where his owner nailed his hands and knees to a board and left him there to die. He was rescued though and later he said, "I forgive the man who did this to me. Jesus was also nailed [to a cross], and He forgave me."
How is it that we with such small things to forgive seem to have a harder time forgiving, or is it just we don't hear about the struggle they go through before forgiving?

Sixteen Cities - Sing Along

Sing Along
When I look into the painted sky
I see so many colors
They're all a part of your design
It's such a brilliant display

Chorus:
I love the way the stars shine for you
And every single mountain bows down
I love the way the universe is singing your song
So I'll try to sing along

Looking up into the dark blue night
I'm in awe of your power
The way the moon pulls the ocean's tide
You are never contained

Chorus:
I love the way the stars shine for you
And every single mountain bows down
I love the way the universe is singing your song
So I'll try to sing along

All the world is singing your song
I raise my voice and sing along

I love the way the stars shine...for you
I love the way the stars shine...for you

Chorus:
I love the way the stars shine for you
And every single mountain bows down
I love the way the universe is singing your song

Chorus:
I love the way the stars shine for you
And every single mountain bows down
I love the way the universe is singing your song
So I'll try to sing along

Morning and Sisters

It's crazy, you don't realize you miss something until they aren't there for the little things.
The other morning I made coffee and there was some left after I'd had mine, it made me miss Rachael, even though we don't drink coffee together every morning, I usually make enough for both of us, and when it's not gone, it reminds me Rachael's not here. Funny how little things like that trigger missing someone.
