In His Hands

These last few days have been like going through Hell it seems! Everything seems to be spinning faster and faster out of my control and everything bad seems to happen at once. The other day a friend posted on my Facebook wall Romans 8:28. Then today I was worrying about some things that were happening in my life and God gave me the phrase '...Rejoice in the LORD, He makes no mistake...'  from the song below and I just realized that He was in charge, whatever I go through, it's all in his plan and he has a purpose for it! I'm so thankful that He has given me family and that He's promised to never leave me, I know I don't have to walk through this all alone!

Rejoice In the Lord
Ron Hamilton

God never moves without purpose or plan
When trying His servant and molding a man.
Give thanks to the LORD though your testing seems long;
In darkness He giveth a song.

I could not see through the shadows ahead;
So I looked at the cross of my Savior instead.
I bowed to the will of the Master that day;
Then peace came and tears fled away.

Now I can see testing comes from above;
God strengthens His children and purges in love.
My Father knows best, and I trust in His care;
Through purging more fruit I will bear.

O Rejoice in the LORD
He makes no mistake,
He knoweth the end of each path that I take,
For when I am tried
And purified, I shall come forth as gold.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
~Romans 8:28

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.  ~Philippians 4:13

She's talking about death, but I think this song can be related to whether you're going through a death or not.

Update :)

So, once again it's been too long since I blogged.
Last week was long, and short. So the family left for FOCIS (family camp) on Sunday. I stayed home to take care of the garden and get some 'rest' and dad stayed home to work.
Sunday I stayed home from church, and around noon or so, Danny called and asked if I could take care of Davie while him and Traci went out for their anniversary. I took pictures but somehow I got a bad SD Card and none of my pics were able to be saved.
Monday through Thursday I had green beans and cucumbers and broccoli, cauliflower and corn to process, which kept me busy.
Monday my cousin Katelyn came over and helped me pick beans, the company was nice. Tuesday night I stayed over night at a friends place (Angelle Sporre). Then Thursday dad left and I had the house to myself. Saturday night I went over to Angelle's again, and went to Kitchi with them in the morning. Then stayed over the next evening and came in with them when they came into town Monday afternoon.
So the whole week was busy and tiring, but fun in a way, with all the produce I had between 4 and 6 hours of stuff to do each day and I wondered, 'Is this how mom feels? Always something more to do?' it made me appreciate what she does much more! Thanks mom!! When I finally got to Friday, I'm like what on earth am I gonna do now that I don't have work? But it was nice to relax a bit.
So much is happening right now! It's crazy, it seems life is dull then all of a sudden, it dumps a bunch of drama in your lap all at once and you wonder 'how on earth am I supposed to get through this all?' But I know we will somehow! :)

THE GRASSHOPPER AND THE ANT

The summer days were long and warm
And full of dreamy hours
For those who spent their time in play
Among the forest flowers.

Oh, happy was the grasshopper
To while away his time
With merry song and witty play
And many a silly rhyme

One day he sat against the root
And played his violin
When the busy ant passed by
"To play is it a sin?"

This spoken loudly, stopped the ant
He quietly replied,
"The cold of winter soon doth come
When all the creatures hide."

"And we must wisely food prepare
And warmth of home ensure
So we may all in comfort 'bide
And winter's ice endure."

"Come, come, oh come, my silly man
You're far too somber, now
You need some cheering and some fun
Your pleasure to endow."

The wise keen ant just shook his head
Then hurried on his way
He knew he could not warn the bug
For all that he should say.

The days passed by and autumn came
Which led to winter's snows
And on a morning clear and cold
To grasshopper's sad woe

He woke so stiff could hardly move
His summer food all gone
And so a plan his mind did make
And he set out upon

The icy field to find the ant
"Oh, he will help me sure."
He trembled, he was thinly clad
"I'm cold, so cold, brrr."

He soon arrived upon the stoop
Of cozy Anthill Hall
And looking in the window pane
He felt the bitter gall

Of pressing hunger, freezing cold
For there the ants did dine
Upon a table laden high
With all the ant's in line

And roaring near, the fire's blaze
While all did laugh and sing
But when he knocked no answer came
For he had not to bring

He wiped a tear and slowly turned
How wise the ant had been
"If only I had listened
I had my chances then."

So take a lesson grasshopper
And wisely spend your time
In taking thought for future good
Like the ant did in this rhyme.

Poem

I wrote the first four verses of this a while back and it's just been sitting in my drafts waiting for a final verse, tonight it finally came, I don't know what to title it yet though.

Here you are again
At the end of your rope
You feel like giving in
You've given up hope.

The sun is setting
You're getting desperate now
You gotta hold on yet
But you're not sure how.

You're ready to break,
It's just a little too hard
How much more can you take?
Your heart is in shards.

You've gotta let Him in,
Can't do it on your own,
He'll wash away your sin,
Pull the weeds you've sown.

Here you are again
At the end of your rope,
If you'll give to Him,
He will give you hope.

Photography

Just a few pictures I took this afternoon and photo shopped. I'm a lil obsessed with picnik.com right now! =)
The last picture of the kitten Sarah took a while ago.
